It is not intended to instal a duplex station at
Hongkong, so that the only advantage of a directional aerial would be that, for the same power, communication should be easier with Singapore.
The Marconi Coy have patented the directional aerial,
but in any case, it is not certain that this aerial is
specially suited to other installations,
It would seem, therefore, that the position of the Site
must stand over until it has been decided what sort of
installation is required.
The Kowloon Bay site originally suggested, is unsuitable
owing to the line for Singapore passing over the high ground on Hongkong, and there seems no reason why it should not be released.
